Description
The Conference theme of "planting the seed for effective change" reflects our commitment to providing an opportunity for practitioners to increase their knowledge and skills in treatment for anxiety disorders and depression in order to most successfully help people to choose to change.
Having carefully and skilfully planted our seeds, we need to nurture their growth by providing evidence based treatment that is flexible and creative and which takes into account the myriad factors which impact upon a person's ability to successfully recover from anxiety disorders or depression.
The Conference program provides a wonderful opportunity to hear speakers who are specialists in a range of treatment approaches for adults, children and young people and to explore stimulating and provocative new ideas. Participants from the 2008 conference commented how much they appreciated the practical focus of the conference and we have retained that focus for 2009.
This Conference gives all practitioners working with people affected by anxiety and depression the opportunity to learn, to network with peers and to refresh and reinvigorate their practice.
Together with the members of the organising committee I look forward to seeing you at what promises to be, once again, an outstanding Conference.
